Job Opportunities
Brief Description of the Job: Ed Video has several renovation projects on the go and we are looking for someone who can help us with this as well as a variety of office duties as required. We have a gallery where assistance is required in the setting up and tearing down of shows, painting walls and supervision of events. We don`t promise a lot of video work this summer.
Skills/interests/qualifications required to perform the job:
You study art, design, architecture, carpentry, fabrication or another applied skill, and are serious about building your portfolio while still in school. You are cool, and are geeky about one or more of the following: art, video, internet, music, interior decorating, emerging technologies, poster design, local politics, morse code, pellet guns, day trading, unicorn figurines, etc. You will be expected to be creative, resourceful, and independent when charged with a (multi)task, and if not, have the initiative to find your own. You have done some basic renovations, or are enthusiastic to learn. You are energetic and excited about working at a vibrant arts centre. We can be flexible
with your hours if you can too.
Wage is $11 per hour for a 35 hour week. Position runs for 9 weeks from June 14th to August 13, 2010. Our office hours are 10 am to 5 pm, weekdays.
