In 1976, the founders of Ed Video chose to make "education" the centre's focus, and it has remained an important part of our mandate. Ed Video facilitates the production of media art in Guelph and the surrounding community by providing the equipment, workshops and exposure to local, national and international discourses in video and media art production.

In coming to the Ed Video Media Arts Centre, artists and filmmakers can:

• get help with production. Ed Video provides high quality equipment for capturing sound and image. People who come to the centre can learn about video through workshops on editing and equipment, and by talking to a wide base of experienced members.
• come to events that Ed Video coordinates, including screenings, exhibitions and festive celebrations.
• participate in Ed Video's 24 Hour Film Festival, Members Projects, Award Contests, and look at our video collection in the Project Archives.
• advertise in our annual Programming Guide .
