Ed Video's Amazing Scavenger Hunt FUNdraiser

Where's Waldo is for sissies...if you want a real challenge come join Ed
Video's Amazing Scavenger Hunt FUNdraiser.

On Saturday, September 20, 2008, Ed Video Media Arts Centre will offer
videographers and filmmakers the challenge of a lifetime with the chance to
compete in Ed Video's Amazing Video Scavenger Hunt. Open to anyone with
a videocamera including students, families, corporations, and schools, the
video competition will have teams cavorting throughout downtown Guelph to
stalk and capture on video an extensive list of locations, items, and situations.

The video scavenger hunt starts at 10:00 AM when teams will be given a shot
list of items to film and will have until the deadline of 6:00 PM to get as many
points as possible. To provide equal opportunities to all teams and to encourage
a 'green' event, the video scavenger hunt will include items that can all be
captured within walking distance or by public transit from the downtown core of
Guelph.

Immediately after the hunt deadline, food and non-alcoholic beverages, included
in the ticket price, will be served at Ed Video's new office and gallery on the 2nd
floor of 40 Baker Street. The submitted videos will then be screened and judges
will award prizes to winning teams based on most points acquired, best team
costumes, and other criteria to be announced that day.

Entry fee is $10 per person with no limit on team size.

The fun, of course, will evolve from the challenge of finding or creating
scavenger hunt items. The mystery list of items will be revealed at the
event start time and may include artifacts, locations and landmarks around
downtown Guelph, a variety of situations or role-plays, and performance- or
reality-based scenarios. Point values will be assigned to each item and will
vary based on ease or difficulty of getting the shots and creativity. Some
items will require acts of courage and daring (without risking harm to
themselves or others).

Teams are encouraged to wear costumes or define themselves with themes,
and are welcome to weave scavenger hunt items into narrative storylines for
their videos.

So assemble your teams and arm yourselves with a camera to compete in the
safest and silliest hunt around. Ed Video's Amazing Video Scavenger Hunt
FUNdraiser starts at 10:00 AM on September 20. Let the video hunt begin and
let no one escape the fun that follows!
