Open Source 3.3 August 3rd, 2018

by Marko Cigljarev

The Open Source project has been an annual collaborative production project initiated by Ed Video, and is now in the third year. More info about the project can be found here. The theme of this Open Source project is “to achieve harmony”. It is up to each contributor to determine their own interpretation of that theme.

Marko Cigljarev was the first participant to contribute to the project. Marko's video can be viewed below.

Marko writes:

"When I think of achieving harmony I think of two lives merging, companionship and symbiosis. In this project I included a clip from a recent vacation that features a 2 Euro coin with the words "If ever two were one, those two are we" written on it.

A secondary aspect of harmony that resonates with me is the harmony of music and specifically the mathematical aspect of it. I decided to combine my clip with the previous versions in the form of a Venn diagram. The areas were the videos overlap show a combination of the different footage and creates a new space that at times may or may not be harmonious."
