Jim Riley
will be exhibiting his video installation, "Water's Edge" at the Art Gallery of Sudbury opening September 18 and running until November 20.  It incorporates projected video on to a painted wall with cut out wooden painted gulls.  It also has a comfy beach chair to sit in to relax and listen to the water's waves as you view the moving image!  It explores barriers between communities, countries and  people.    Water's Edge will be part of the Exchange Exhibition.
The Art Gallery of Sudbury is at 453 Ramsay Rd., Sudbury, P3E 2Z7

The SharpCuts Indie Film and Music Festival organizing committee has begun planning the Festival's fifth annual edition which will take place in May 2011. We're currently looking for new members to join the committee in order to bring in some new ideas and new energy as this year's festival looks to be SharpCuts biggest yet. We're especially looking for someone who might be interested in serving as the festival's programmer, the person in charge of reviewing all the submitted films and scheduling the selected entrants in the festival. If you are interested in helping out with SharpCuts, or learning more information about what it takes to be involved e-mail Adam A. Donaldson at donaldson@synnstudios.ca

Gloria Dent's new book is out. "At my sweet recall", the letters of Edward Johnson and Beatriz d'Arneiro, 1906-1908 is available at The Bookshelf in Guelph or through the author at rgdent@rogers.com.
