Intro To Digital Photography

Free for Ed Video Members. $30 admission for general public.

Nurture your passion for photography and learn the fundamentals of digital
image capture. This evening workshop is designed to help you understand
your camera and create better photographs. Through lecture, demonstration,
and experimentation this workshop will cover, camera operation, the
'exposure triangle', and basic composition.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own DSLR camera, however, this
is not a requirement of the workshop. Ed Video has a limited number of DSLR
cameras available, please register early to secure a camera.

Instructor Bio:

Jennifer Martin is a photographer and filmmaker currently based in Guelph,
Ontario. Martin holds an MFA from Western University and a BFA in
Photography from Emily Carr University of Art and Design. She has exhibited
her film and photographic work nationally and internationally, most
recently at the Robert McLaughlin Gallery, DNA Artspace, and MacIntosh
Gallery. Martin has taught courses in photography and filmmaking at Western
University and was recently the Artist Residency Coordinator at SPAO – The
School of Photographic Arts: Ottawa. She became a member of the board of
directors for Ed Video in 2018.
