Most people are shocked when they realize there are scripts for documentaries. How do you write a documentary? How can there be a document that tells you how to document real life?

This introductory class will give insight into how writing can be essential when creating documentaries. Over the course of the class, participants will be introduced to the all the creative documents that you write for documentaries (synopsis, outline, treatment), the writing stages, and story structure. If you have a documentary idea, there will be brief time to discuss and get feedback in the class on the story and writing only. Or this may just inspire you to write your own documentary after this!
