Man Versus Nature
November 21, 2008
Time and Location TBA
Guest curated by Jim Riley.
Man versus Nature is an established literary theme. Humans interact with Nature,
and this narrative has been going on for millennia. Human beings often attempt
to control their surroundings, although over the long run, it is unlikely that people
will be able to control the natural environment. The artists included in ‘Man Versus
Nature’ demonstrate their awareness of this conflict in their videos, and the chosen
work offers a variety of reactions and suggestions.
