Platforms Project is an international art fair with the objective to map the artistic actions of collectives and initiatives by artists from Greece, Europe, and around the world. With a focus on work created and exhibited by artist run centres, Platforms provides a showcase for work outside of the art market, and opportunities for people to connect.

Ed Video has commissioned Julie René de Cotret to curate this booth which features site-specific drawings/installation by Olia Mishchenko and a multimedia installation/performance by Jérôme Havre.

Olia Mishchenko's expansive drawings outline the environments, landscapes, structures, activities, and events they hold, using lines to narrate space.  Jérôme Havre's multidisciplinary practice is also rooted in narrative and storytelling techniques, embracing theatre and staging aesthetics. Sculptural elements translate into media formats, adding layers and complexity to the narrative. Both of these artists use visual forms of narratives which draw on the viewer’s subjective experiences and memories.

Many thanks to Art Gallery of Guelph for supporting this project, as well as the Canada Council for the Arts and the Ontario Arts Council.
