The Teen Filmmaking Club is opportunity for youth between the ages of 13 and 19 to meet in a safe and supportive environment at Ed Video, where they can share ideas, plan for projects, practice techniques, and check out cool short films and videos. The program is a great start for anyone who might be considering post-secondary education in film or video production, or for those who would like to continue to pursue filmmaking as an artistic hobby at a non-professional level.
Initially, the program will run for six weeks, on Fridays from 6pm to 8:30pm.
Each session will feature with a short lesson on equipment or techniques, a short screening of video and media art, followed by time where participants can put their heads together to plan projects, practice with equipment, and bounce ideas.
Who should get involved
We're looking for a mix of enthusiastic people who are committed to making quality short films and videos, to developing their skill sets, and to working collaboratively.
We'll need people who have an interest in directing, writing, cinematography, sound recording, and other creative and technical aspects. We'll need actors who also have an interest in what is happening behind the camera. We'll need people who love film and video, and want to be a part of making it.
