Animation

Instructor Garth Laidlaw

DATE TBD, remotely via Zoom, TIME TBD geared to students age 13+

Want to learn how to make smoke move or a campfire glow? Sign up for Ed Video’s Introduction to Animation: Character and Environment Workshop in After Effects. Over two sessions you’ll learn to animate a short character and environment loop that can be used in a longer video, or exported as a gif. These basic skills can be used to create all kinds of animations in any art style.

Thanks to Adobe Creative and the City of Guelph, Ed Video can provide student members a laptop pre-loaded with the Adobe software you’ll need (After Effects and Photoshop). If you have your own computer and software make sure you pre-install the free Duik plugin  (available right here.)

To get a chance to take this course you need to be an Ed Video student member, but there is no actual charge for the course.  You can get the membership info here https://www.edvideo.org/membership.

To sign up send us an email, telling us why you want to take the course, to registration@edvideo.org
